Tasklight II—Versatile Workhorse or Lightweight Flashlight?
Tasklight Two—A Work Light and Flashlight
The Tasklight is designed for multiple uses. First, and foremost, it is a task light—it's multilevel output can be directed onto whatever you are working on up close, such as soldering, stamps, or assembly of small components. The light has a 1/4" x 20 tpi socket built into the end of it. Simply screw your adjustable arm into the base and shine away. It will fit on any standard tripod as well.
When combined with some other holding devices, you hands are finally free to actually do the work, rather than the work holding!
Here you can see the socket in the tail end. Note also that the Tasklight Two is cut knurled and then EN plated, so it hides fingerprints exceedingly well, yet is very smooth in the hand.
The Tasklight Two uses rechargeable CR2 batteries, or even primary CR2 batteries, although it will be a tad brighter with the rechargeables. The mini FluPIC driver delivers three brightness levels, allowing one to choose the appropriate level for whatever item is being illuminated. Taken off the flexible arm and used as a flashlight, it carries very well in your pocket as it only weighs 1.4 ounces.
The Tasklight Two is made from 7075 aluminum, one of the harder alloys, and has been electroless nickel (EN) plated for durability.
Sorry, but the Tasklight Two is sold out.
