Custom Designed Titanium Indian Princess
A friend of mine requested a light that he could take with him for a trip to India. He wanted something different, but in Ti, and able to take AA batteries while offering multiple levels of brightness. And, as a twist, he wanted a Tritium sphere installed in the tail end.
To me, India
conjures up images of jewels, and women wearing beautiful gold jewelry and brightly colored clothes, so I tried to go with that mental picture and designed the Indian Princess with colored dimples that appear to spiral around the body. And here you can also see the bevel in the tailcap, where the Tritium sphere would eventually be installed.
Not only were the dimples and grooves on the body anodized, but the bevel to the lens was dimpled and those dimples were anodized as well. One can not have too many jewels, right?
And when the light is just right, the dimples do, indeed, look like sparkling jewels.
